2nd Grade Language Arts
This lesson focuses on predicting, rhyming, and vocabulary through a fun foldable project. Students will work independently, in small groups, and large group. By lesson end they will be able to identify what makes words rhyme, name new vocabulary and its meaning, and explain why or why not their predictions were correct.

I Predict...
Students use what they know about sentence structure to write a prediction statement.
Prediction Picture
Students should visually represent their prediction with an illustration.
I Observe & I Wonder...
Students will write a statement and draw an illustration of their observations.
Students will work with 1+ other students to discuss what they wonder. They should write their own and a friend's statement.
